This is Magda´s sister Christy, making our morning tortillas. (Wäy is the Kaqchikel word for tortillas.) She taught me how to make them by just patting out the balls of dough & laying them on the stove, which you can see in the picture. It´s a piece of rock with a fire underneath. No lighting at all? Does everyone go to to sleep once the sun goes down? What are you sleeping on?
ReplyDeletewe have a light in our bedroom & there are warm beds. that´s nice because the nights are very cold because of the altitude. i have to use about three blankets & wear a jacket to bed every night.
